Donatella Versace the new face of Givenchy

Fashion is one big family, everyone knows it. So the fact that Givenchy has chosen Donatella Versace as its new face shouldn’t be a complete surprise. And that the announcement was made via Instagram even less…
 
However, that doesn’t mean that the news won’t, or isn’t, creating its own fair share of buzz, especially given that it was Givenchy’s artistic director himself, Italian Riccardo Tisci, who revealed the news on his Instagram account.

"So proud and honored to introduce my new ultimate icon: Donatella Versace", the designer wrote next to a black and white photo of him and the artistic director of the famous Italian fashion house.
 
The post reveals that Donatella Versace is to appear in Givenchy’s fall/winter 2015-16 campaign and that more information on the "Givenchy Family Campaign" will be coming soon.

The photos will be taken by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, with Carine Roitfeld taking on the role of stylist
