Zimmermann, the luxury Australian brand founded by sister-duo Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, has opened its third New York City boutique on Madison Avenue.

The new store marks the brand’s sixth in the state of New York, joining stores in Soho, East Hampton, Americana Manhasset, Woodbury, and the city's Meatpacking district.

In a move of opportune timing, this latest Big Apple opening comes on the heels of Zimmermann’s latest Spring 2020 runway show in the city during New York Fashion Week

“New York is like a second home for us,” Nicky Zimmermann said. “I have spent a lot of time in the city over the years and we’ve always loved the energy Madison Avenue brings. We are excited to now be a part of the Uptown community.”

Located at 900 Madison Avenue in a building dating back to the 1940s, the 1,718 square-foot store was designed by Australian designer and architect, Don McQualter of Studio McQualter, and was built to embody the brand’s principles of relaxed femininity, freshness and optimism, according to the Sydney-founded brand.

Interior elements were chosen to create the lived-in feel of an apartment, including mid-century furnishings, handmade floor and wall tiles, a 1960s Murano glass Italian chandelier and large italian brass sconces.

The Australian brand said its future expansion plans will include a second boutique in Florida in Palm Beach, slated to open in November of 2019. Outside of the U.S., Zimmermann has further expanded with a store opening in Saint-Tropez in 2018 and in Paris earlier this year.
