TV fashion stylists really have the potential to shift product when they release their own lines, as this year’s Freemans collab with stylist Mark Heyes shows.

The new Out Of Office line

And now another stylist, Gemma Sheppard, has launched her own label, her debut fashion collection.

She’s linked up with QVC UK for a topically titled brand called Out Of Office. It launched exclusively on qvcuk.com this month.

It’s positioned as an “affordable” line and features 34 mix-and-match “wardrobe essentials”.

Sheppard is best known for her appearances on Channel 5’s makeover show 10 Years Younger in 10 Days. But beyond that she has quite a heavyweight background.

Her career began at Tiffany & Co under Rosa Monckton, which led to a director role at Boucheron and projects with Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Isabella Blow, Sam Taylor-Johnson, Daphne Guinness and Stella McCartney. She also runs a successful style consultancy, SheppardStyle, and is the Global Creative Fashion Director for Universal Music.

For her new venture she’s partnered with designer Melanie Davis – founder of womenswear labels Pamplemousse and Body Frock.

They’ve launched a range that’s led by knits (but also includes wovens) in easy silhouettes. And they said the pieces act as “a fashion antidote to [their] always-on-the-go lives”.

Prices start at £28.99 with pieces available in sizes XS up to 3XL. They come in materials including lightweight cashmere and wool intended to keep the wearer warn in cool temperatures and cool when it’s hot.
