The jacket called ”BRIGHT BMBR” will retail for $630. The jacket is being produced in part by EVRTHNG and in partnership with packaging company Avery Dennison. Andy Hobsbawm, CMO, and co-founder at EVRTHNG commented: "Every forward-thinking fashion brand and retailer is working out how to combine physical stores with digital media and services, all powered by intelligent data platforms to personalize the experience of buying and owning products. This highly innovative, physical-digital partnership adds cloud software capabilities to physical apparel to show how it’s done.”

Each of these jackets is embedded with smart chips that are connected to a smartphone app. Using this smart chip, wearers have access to a series of events, experiences, and establishments that have been hand-selected by Rochambeau’s two founders. Some of the establishments include line bypass at Never Never nightclub, a tasting menu at New York’s Toro restaurant, and personal tours of high-end art galleries. Each garment wearer will also receive gifts from one of The New Stand, a New York brick-and-mortar retailer when the wearer comes within 500 yards of the store.

“We started Rochambeau as an outlet for creative expression and artistic collaboration.” Laurence Chandler of Rochambeau said “We can’t think of a more amazing way to do this than to create beautiful garments with culture and connectivity stitched into the very fabric of the item. We’re excited about designing more Rochambeau products which are born digital.”

Rochambeau is a New York-based streetwear brand designed by Josh Cooper and Laurence Chandler. The brand was the menswear winner for the for the 2016 International Woolmark Prize and was nominated for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund.. The brand is favored by celebrities like Justin Bieber and Nick Jonas.
Only 15 jackets will be released via Rochambeau’s website and at The New Stand retail store.
