Fashion house Dior has presented its latest spring-summer 2019 campaign, which is inspired by dance and the movement of the body. Top models Selena Forrest and Ruth Bell, both of whom walked the runway for the brand at its show in September, have been chosen to represent the new collection, which is a celebration of feminine lightness and elegance.

In September 2018, Dior put on a show for the opening of the traditional Parisian Fashion Week with a remarkable choreography performed by professional dancers. This theme also sets the tone for the new collection, which is inspired by the feminine grace and lightness of natural movement .

The French brand is extending this cadence in its latest campaign featuring top models Selena Forrest and Ruth Bell, who posed for British photographer Harley Weir. The pair feature in a series of images marked by a play on shadows inspired by the work of Sharon Eyal, who was tasked with the choreography of the September show.

"My work is related to the celebration of the body through clothing and the opportunity it offers us in how we represent ourselves in the eyes of others, as well as in our own eyes," points out Dior's artistic director, Maria Grazia Chiuri.

The campaign gives pride of place to the new pieces for the season, which are offered in a multitude of neutral and nude shades that contribute to an overall impression of gentle and discreet elegance. There are also long pleated dresses with floating lines, which stand out in contrast to other mesh and bodysuit pieces directly inspired by the world of dance.
