NYC-based women's footwear brand Sam Edelman is expanding in China through three new store locations opening in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Chengdu with luxury retail partner Lane Crawford.

The new shops feature Sam Edelman's signature green with gold accents palette, vintage furniture and reclaimed wood walls for a cohesive aesthetic. Additionally, the Chinese stores will also showcase Sam Edelman's SS18 campaign featuring model Carolyn Murphy.

Continuity in consumer experience has been unsured by the fact that Sam Edelman's NY-based design team worked closely with Lane Crawford to make sure the new stores are in line with the brand's US retail experience.

Co-founder Sam Edelman explained in a statement that Lane Crawford were "some of the first people to recognize and support me as a designer," helping to build his footwear business. The brands "have established a relationship" that will deliver consistency in new markets, he said.

Sam Edelman has 13 flagship stores across the US in key markets including Soho, Palm Beach, and Beverly Hills. In addition to its new Chinese stores, it also has an international presence in Dubai.

Lane Crawford is hosting grand opening events for the Hong Kong and Shanghai stores next week.
