Los Angeles-based brand Rose in Good Faith has partnered with the estate of late American rapper Gustave Ahr, known by his stage name as Lil Peep, to release a collection dedicated to the rapper's legacy.

Rose in Good Faith

Lil Peep, a young rapper who was becoming a rising fashion icon for his unique dress sense, died in 2017 of an accidental drug overdose. As a tribute to the star's personal style, the collection is designed to be an accessible entryway into luxe fashion, consisting of T-shirts made from heavy-weight, California-grown organic cotton, as well as hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts made from French terry. Pieces are decorated with the lyrics of Lil Peep's song, 'Belgium,' and retail from $45 to $180.

“Working with [Lil Peep's] family, we wanted to make this capsule stand as a staple in everyone’s wardrobe, and for some, be their first luxury garment," said David Teitelbaum, owner and director of Rose In Good Faith. "We had a special weave made for the tees, pushing typically light-weight organic cotton up to a heavy 13oz and did the same for our French terry, coming in at 26oz. This level of quality is only found in our ultra-lux releases."

In a further homage to Lil Peep's desire to "help the world," the brand said, 100% of the proceeds made from the collection will be donated to Greenpeace, an NGO dedicated to environmental justice.

“Gus had a Greenpeace sticker on his laptop," said Lil Peep's brother, Oskar Ahr. "He would park himself on the couch and watch Planet Earth for hours. He was also a huge Steve Irwin fan. Gus loved the planet and all the creatures that lived on it.”

Limited to 900 pieces in total, the Rose in Good Faith x Lil Peep collection is set to release on Friday on Rose In Good Faith’s webstore.

The Lil Peep collection follows Rose in Good Faith's collaborative capsule with American rapper Ghostmane in 2019.
