Philippe Brocart who was appointed in November 2012 as managing director of SAFI, a joint subsidiary of Ateliers d'Art de France and RX France (formerly Reed Expositions France) that organizes the Maison&Objet fair and Paris Design Week, stepped down from his position on March 11.

Brocart joined Reed Expositions France in 1991 to manage the Franchise Expo Paris trade show. He now directs the European branch of Material Bank, the marketplace for architectural and construction materials founded by Adam Sandow.

The Maison&Objet fair scheduled to kick off on Thursday (March 24) at the Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte is being led for the time being by Philippe Delhomme, current chairman of SAFI's board of directors, who is acting as interim managing director. Brocart's successor should be announced sometime in the coming months.

"Philippe Brocart contributed to strengthening the international positioning of Maison&Objet at the disposal of players in the home decor, interior design and ‘arte de vivre’ industries while developing new digital services with the MOM networking platform launched in 2016 and more recently with the Maison&Objet Academy streaming platform," explained Delhomme.
