ONE Essentials boosts sustainability with biodegradable underwear
As eco launches ramp up, UK sustainable intimates brand ONE Essentials has debuted a range of natural, biodegradable, non-toxic underwear.
The company said it features “fundamental basics centred around a closed loop system that is designed with the end in mind”.
It comes as more and more consumers are focused on eco-friendly products and both surveys and consumer behaviour show that such initiatives are increasingly being embraced by shoppers.
The range, which induces both men's and women's underwear and a unisex T-shirt and sweatshirt, supports a circular business model, “taking responsibility for the end of life of their products through their customer take back scheme”.
A particular feature include the use of Bluesign- or Oekotex-accredited dyes “ensuring there are no toxins involve within the production process”.
The range also comes with a tiered pricing system “offering affordability to consumers”, while 1% of every sale goes to textile clean-up through the OR foundation.
“ONE Essentials aims to re-invent how we create and consume clothing, starting with our most disposable item - underwear.
