Zeidel is a retail veteran, having previously served as chief operating officer at Canadian luxury retailer Holt Renfrew from January 2017, until this past December.

Prior to that, he was CFO of Canadian fast-fashion company Joe Fresh from 2014 through to December 2016. He’s also held similar positions at Pro Hockey Life, a sporting goods retailer.

In his new role at Moose Knuckles, Zeidel will be tasked with overseeing finances, implementing new technology and refining the company’s growth strategies.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Rob join the Moose Knuckles executive team. His undeniable expertise in the luxury fashion industry and in building world-class financial organizations will be a strong asset as we lead the brand into the future,” said Noah Stern and Ayal Twik, co-CEOs of Moose Knuckles International.

Zeidel’s appointment follows a slew of recent arrivals to Moose Knuckles’ C-suite including the addition of a new executive vice president for direct-to-consumer, vice president of IT and project management, among other roles.

The Montreal-based brand, best known for selling luxury fashion parkas priced $900 and up, opened its first U.S. flagship, in an immersive retail space spread over 3,500 square feet, in New York’s SoHo neighborhood, most recently in November.

Moose Knuckles equally has stores in Toronto and Montreal, though the brand keeps a large focus on its presence in department and specialty stores across North America and Europe, as well as concessions in South Korea.

Founded as a wholesale business, Stern and Twik bought Moose Knuckles in 2009.
