French marketplace creation and management specialist Mirakl has announced that it will generate six billion dollars in business volume by 2022, up 43% year-on-year. After passing the symbolic $100 million mark, the company's annual recurring revenue reached $135 million, maintaining the 40% growth rate seen over the last three years.

Over the year, business volume in Europe, the Middle East and Africa rose by 49% to represent 63% of total activity. At the same time, volume grew by 47% in North America and 21% in Latin America and Asia-Pacific combined. In terms of segments, the BtoC business grew by 38%, representing 84% of the business. The BtoC segment saw a meteoric rise of 76% in business volume.

"This growth, which is twice as fast in BtoB as in BtoC, validates our strategy of investing in this area," said co-founder and co-CEO Adrien Nussenbaum on Tuesday morning from London, at a conference held at the company's Paris headquarters.

The year has also been rich in development for Mirakl, which notably acquired the specialist in personalisation of sales sites and large-scale product curation Target2Sell. The name Target2Sell has become the name of Mirakl's dedicated offering, along with Mirakl Payout and Mirakl Ads, which were launched and unveiled respectively during the year.

On the client side, the structure claims nearly 100 new contracts signed. "A record number," says co-founder and co-CEO Philippe Corrot. The new partners include Asos, Kiabi and Macy's, bringing the number of the company's clients to 400, including Carrefour, Showroomprivé, Decathlon, La Redoute, H&M Home, Galeries Lafayette, Ripley, La Poste, AccorHotels and Darty.

In 2023, Mirakl intends to continue its international expansion, which continued in 2022 with the opening of offices in Japan, in strategic partnership with Japan Cloud. The company is also announcing a major recruitment plan, with more than 50 developers expected to join the company, following the 423 new recruitments in 2022.
