Angel Central, which has been the subject of a recent £16 million retail upgrade, is the chosen location for the six-week store, known as the Corner Shop.

Under its banner  ‘Premium - Ethical - Immersive’, it aims to deliver curation of niche higher-end lifestyle and fashion brands "allowing emerging and established designers to showcase their work and connect with customers”.

Its arrival coincides with the Do Good festival running from 17 May to 22 June. The Festival is a community-focused event that celebrates the steps being taken towards a more sustainable future “[so] the Corner Shop is a perfect fit for the festival, as it showcases sustainable brands that share LDC's vision for a more sustainable fashion industry”, LDC's founder and  CEO, Rebecca Morter, said.

In keeping with LDC's “immersive shopping approach”, the pop-up will also host a range of free-of-charge events and experiences.

"Our mission is to support sustainable brands and provide a platform for them to showcase their products. We want to make sustainable fashion accessible and inclusive for everyone," Morter added.

Louisa Butters, Head of Retail Asset Management at CBRE Investment Management, owner of Angel Central, added: “[Our] calendar of festivals and events have been geared towards driving support for local people and businesses, and the Do Good Festival is no different. Having LDC as part of this only amplifies our values, as they match our emphasis on promoting independents and sustainable choices.”
