Lindex launches ‘Even Better Denim’

Swedish fashion brand Lindex takes another step toward becoming a truly sustainable company with the launch of a denim range made using post-consumer recycled cotton.

Lindex’s ‘Even Better Denim’ is a collection of styles for women and children which reflects the brand’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact. In addition to using more sustainable and recycled cotton, the brand used the most sustainable zippers, buttons, labels it could find.

“We are proud of our new step towards reducing the environmental impact and closing the loop. Old garments that normally would have gone to waste has now become part of our new ‘Even Better Denim’ styles. That way we reduce the use of virgin material, saving water and energy in production,” says Sara Winroth, Sustainability Manager of Lindex.

Lindex has placed a particular focus on producing denim in a more sustainable way since 2014. According to the brand, “significant progress has been made” with now 100% of all denim collections made from more sustainable cotton. Lindex also it is using up to 45 per cent less water and 27 per cent less energy to make its denim.

The brand’s new ‘Even Better Denim’ launches in stores and online at the end of the month.
