Kurt Geiger has opened a pop-up store at Berlin’s KaDeWe. Located in the accessories department on the third floor of the luxury department store, the temporary space showcases 20 styles from the brand’s Kensington Bag collection.

This is the first time that the British footwear and accessories specialist has presented a collection in the German capital in a wholesale environment.

The move is in line with Kurt Geiger’s new ambition, announced this summer, to grow in the German market. The plan includes a selected number of wholesale partners, who will help the brand expand its presence this season.

Running until the end of the month, the KaDeWe pop-up store sells handbags costing from 115 to 230 euros.

Kurt Geiger is the leading premium footwear and accessories brand in the UK. It opened its first store on Bond Street in London in 1963.

Part of Cinven Partners LLP since February 2016, the business recently posted sales growth of 10% to £281.6m. EBITDA increased from £21.2m to £28.9m.

Cinven, a private equity firm, acquired Kurt Geiger from Sycamore Partners in December 2015.
