The Global Fashion Summit (formerly known as the Copenhagen Fashion Summit) is returning to the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen, Denmark, as a face-to-face event on June 7 and 8, 2022.

Presented by the Global Fashion Agenda, the international forum for sustainability in the fashion industry has been in existence since 2009. The event organizes discussions that focus on environmental issues, human rights and the consequences of textile pollution.

The ticket price is between 700 and 1,500 euros. Participants will be able to attend the plenary sessions, participate in the innovation forum and expand their network of contacts. Students benefit from a reduced rate of 350 euros.

The opening speech will be given by Crown Princess of Denmark, Mary Donaldson. The director general of AMITH (Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries), Fatima-Zohra Alaoui, will speak about sustainability at the first conference. During the two days, there will also be a debate on the role of fashion in times of crisis, led by Achim Berg, partner of the consulting firm McKinsey. Other topics such as circularity and sourcing materials will also be addressed.

Global Fashion Agenda aims to encourage responsible behavior in the industry through discussions on the sustainability of fashion and the impact of the climate crisis.

Today, many companies are integrating this notion into their business models and are thinking about possible alternatives to protect and optimize the earth's limited resources. At the same time, consumer demand continues to grow, forcing the textile industry to adapt to new consumer needs.

According to the Global Fashion Summit, there are only eight years left to achieve the goals of sustainable development: fight against inequality, environmental destruction, and overconsumption.

In the future, the Global Fashion Summit will be held in several major cities (in addition to its Copenhagen edition). Details on the upcoming locations will be revealed later this year.
