The Armani Group has reopened the Giorgio Armani boutique in Los Angeles, at 436 North Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills following a complete makeover.

The reopening aims to solidify the boutique’s status as a landmark for international celebrities and to highlight Giorgio Armani's strong relationship with the world of film and music.

The historic store was first opened by Giorgio Armani himself in August 1988. Today, the 854 square metres of floor space located on the city’s main luxury shopping street, remains one of the brand's largest retail spaces.

As part of its makeover, the store front, with a central entrance and two large side windows, was updated with a decorative motif on the upper part of the glass façade. The design was inspired by the city's symbol — palm trees.

Inside, Giorgio Armani worked with his in-house team of architects to redesign the retail space, drawing inspiration from flagship boutiques in Milan and Tokyo. The store is divided into themed rooms that lead the visitor through a fluid itinerary.

An imposing staircase connects the various floors starting with the ground floor, dedicated to the women's accessories and eyewear collections, Armani beauty and Armani Privé fragrances. The next level houses a VIP room, the women's jewellery collection, evening dresses and accessories, and men's accessories and eyewear, as well as the area reserved for the formal and made-to- measure collections.

For the first time in an Armani boutique, also on this first floor, there is a room dedicated entirely to made-to-order for women. Finally, between the two main floors, a mezzanine offers men's seasonal collections.

Design elements include marble and onyx floors that contrast with warm and refined elements such as a eucalyptus hue, and platinum-coloured metal fixtures. Meanwhile, the walls are clad in silk wall coverings from the Armani/Casa collection, while the ceilings are in marmorino. The furniture, carpets and lamps also come from the Armani/Casa collection.

Moreover, the reopening welcomes an exclusive offering of eveningwear for both men and women designed by Giorgio Armani. The selection will be on preview sale, exclusively in the Los Angeles boutique, from mid-March until the end of April.
