Aquascutum also recently announced that the brand, which was founded in 1851, has signed a deal with a Canadian distributor to sell in the Canadian and US markets. The company has seen something of a comeback since being sold by Jaeger in 2012. It is now owned by China's YGM Trading.

Mark Taylor, COO, Aquascutum commented: "This is another positive step in our growth plan. The partnership strategy is to activate between 50 and 60 accounts across the territories (in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark). Although late in the selling season, Sjöklint Agenturer AB are aiming to service some accounts for AW15. However, their first full selling season will be for SS16."

Jonas Sjöklint, Managing Director, Sjöklint Agenturer said: "We are incredibly proud and excited to represent a brand with such a rich history in our market. We are also looking forward to working closely with the team in London to reach our joined goals."
