The French luxury house, which has been playing an active role in the ongoing health crisis, has announced its participation in a fundraiser to support the fight against COVID-19. In partnership with (RED), an association founded in 2006 by Bono and Bobby Shriver, and Akoni, Balmain has donated 12 pairs of sunglasses, which will be exclusively sold on NTWRK (Thentwrk.com). All of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Global Fund's COVID-19 Response.

Particularly active in his efforts to entertain his followers during the lockdown, Olivier Rousteing, Balmain's creative director, is also involved in raising funds for the fight against the coronavirus. In the latest initiative to date, Balmain is donating 12 pairs of Wonder Boy sunglasses, produced in partnership with Akoni, to raise funds to help countries fight COVID-19, and mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the Global Fund's programs to combat HIV, tuberculosis and malaria.

Easily identified by their futuristic design, the Wonder Boy glasses were created by Olivier Rousteing and the Akoni design team. The 12 models selected for the initiative have been personalized by the Balmain creative director and are being put up for sale on the NTWRK website.

The sale, which opened Tuesday, April 28, will run until May 4. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Global Fund's COVID-19 Response.
