The 1,850 square foot retail space on 7977 Melrose Ave is a historic deco 1930s corner building that is redesigned with Assembly’s trademark interior including solid marble elements, exposed construction elements and found object placement.

The store’s grand opening will take place on location from 6-10pm and will offer drinks and musical performances sponsored by Bad Day Magazine. Vip clients and invited guests include Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen, Erin Wasson, Behati Prinsloo, Vanessa Traina, Devandra Banhart, Grace Gummer, Ana Kras, Jenni Kayne.

Greg Armas, formerly of Scout Los Angeles, founded Assembly in 2008 after relocating in New York City. Armas said on his return to LA, “In my mind I never left LA, it has always been about incorporating a west coast feel into the east coast mentality. Now with both shops, we can really tell our story and I am looking forward to more.”
