Amiri continues U.S. store rollout with debut Miami store
Los Angeles-based luxury label Amiri continues its U.S. store expansion this month, opening its debut store in Miami, taking its domestic store count to four locations.
Located at 106 NE 39th Street, inside the Miami Design District, the new Amiri store is 1,972 square feet spread over two floors. The store was designed by CEO and creative director, Mike Amiri, in collaboration with Paris Design Studio NOCOD and architectural design firm TwoOneTwo.
Inside, the Miami flagship boasts a minimalist, soft white interior, from walls to floor to ceiling, punctuated by a white concrete spiral staircase that forms the store centrepiece.
The flagship also features furnishings curated by Mike Amiri in partnership with interior designer Katherine Waronker, plants from Amiri’s native California, and artworks form Los Angeles artist, Wes Lang.
The store's ground floor is devoted to menswear, housing the ready-to-wear collection alongside footwear and accessories, while the second level carries the label's womenswear; the collections hanging from suspended brushed stainless-steel rails, with natural solid wood details.
Marking its Miami debut, Amiri has also launched a Miami-centric capsule line, inspired by the city's tropicality and Art Deco hues, made up of jersey staples, bone appliqué jeans, crochet bandana knits, silk cabana sets and paint-splattered swim trunks with a neon pastel logo of palm trees.
The Miami store opening comes after an investment by Italy's OTB in Amiri, back in June 2019. With the funds, Amiri has since been on U.S. store rollout, opening flagships in its native Los Angeles, as well as New York and Las Vegas, respectively, in September last year.
