After 20 years, A.F. Vandevorst is starting a new chapter in its history. The Belgian fashion label's founders and designers, An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx have in fact decided to discontinue their ready-to-wear line. "The last 20 years have taught us that above all we love to design, and to do it with great creative freedom," said the duo, who now wish to have "fewer constraints."

"In future, we will devote ourselves to what we do best and we love the most: shoes, and unbridled design," they added in a press release. The label will therefore concentrate on more extensive footwear collections, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, and on apparel capsule collections.

An Vandevorst and Filip Arickx left the Parisian catwalks more than two seasons ago, but they returned in the French capital last July to stage a show during the Haute Couture week.

The designers will again show their collection during the Haute Couture Week in Paris, with a new capsule collection formula from next January. Further news about the Belgian label's new projects are expected to follow.
