The next edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion, which will take place from April 5 to 8, will continue in a digital format but will welcome a public audience to its opening ceremony. It will also switch locations, exchanging its previous backdrops of Sant Pau and La Pedrera for the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA).

The fashion event aims to increase visibility to Catalan-born brands, especially younger ones, by the Consortium of Trade, Crafts and Fashion (CCAM) of the Ministry of Business and Labor of the Generalitat. Since the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, the event has been developing digitally by broadcasting its previous parades, and for now, this April’s edition will continue in a digital format.

The event’s usual Sant Pau stage was exchanged last edition for the Pedrera, and this time, another iconic spot of the city is used as a backdrop for the dresses and to best represent Barcelona, the MACBA.

As done previously, the presentations of the collections of designers and brands, among other content, will be broadcasted on the 080TV channel, although there will be the novelty of an in-person inauguration event.

The white building of the MACBA, created by American architect Richard Meier, with its set of ramps and windows that spill into the Plaza de los Angeles, will trade skateboards for models and 080 fashion shows for a few days.
