Swedish women’s e-commerce brand NA-KD is targeting further growth in UK with a new payment option that will allow shoppers to try on their orders before they pay for them.

NA-KD extended its partnership with payments provider Klarna to offer the Pay Later option in the UK, building on their existing partnership in Sweden, Norway and Finland since 2015 and Germany since last year.

The deal will see customers in the UK benefit an optimised checkout technology, without having to provide complicated login information and card details to place orders. Furthermore, the Pay Later solution gives shoppers 30 days to pay for the items, interest free.

“We’re eager to see how extending the partnership with us into the UK will impact sales with NA-KD,” said Luke Griffiths, General Manager at Klarna UK.

The brand targets millennials with “stylish yet affordable clothes”, and achieved 150% year-on-year growth in 2017 with revenue of almost $50 million. Further global expansion is expected to take place following a recent $40 million round of financing.

Jarno Vanhatapio, founder and CEO at NA-KD said: “We strive to be at the forefront of the ecommerce revolution, offering a simple, hassle-free browsing and buying experience.

“2017 saw us deliver extraordinary results in terms of margin improvements and revenue growth - with significantly improved bottom-line results. Looking forward, our top priority for 2018 is international growth - especially targeting the US, UK and major European markets.”

The clothing company was founded in 2015 and is backed by investors including Northzone, eEquity and Partech.
