Streubig will report directly to Hugo Boss chairman and CEO Mark Langer. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the field of sustainability within the fashion industry. Langer commented: “We are delighted to announce his appointment; he will continue to reinforce Hugo Boss’ commitment to sustainability and further develop existing initiatives in this area.”

The company is a member of the German Partnership for Sustainable Textiles (Textilbündnis) and presented its first sustainability report in 2014 with results for the previous financial year.

In the second quarter of the current financial year, the fashion company posted net profits of 57.6 million euros, up from 11.1 million a year earlier. This represented a fivefold increase from the second quarter of 2016.
