As part of the partnership, the three brands will develop internal programs that seek to put the companies’ values of gender equality into practise, encouraging gender diversity in the workplace and supporting women in leadership positions throughout the organization.

Founded as the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition in 1996, Camber Outdoors develops and helps implement programs aiming to ensure that companies operating in the outdoors industry employ and promote diverse talent, in the hopes of ultimately making the sector more profitable, innovative and sustainable.

The organization currently works with 185 companies, 5,500 individual members and 20,000 constituents.

Hoka One One, Sanuk and Teva have previous form with programs fostering women’s leadership in the workplace, having hosted their first ever Women’s Leadership Summit in April of this year. The event was led by the three brands’ president Wendy Yang and featured a wide range of female speakers and panelists.

“Hoka One One, Sanuk and Teva are iconic and recognized brand leaders in the active-outdoor industries, and we are excited to add them as valuable partners to our community of companies working together toward a common vision,” stated Deanne Buck, executive director of Cambers Outdoors, in a release.

“Deckers is committed to fostering a diverse workforce and ensuring women can succeed and play major leadership roles in our workplace, so partnering with Camber Outdoors was a natural evolution as part of our efforts,” explained Wendy Yang.

“We recognize that the outdoor industry will drive greater innovation and solve bigger problems when leadership teams reflect the diversity of current and future participants, and look forward to working toward that goal with Camber Outdoors,” she added.

To celebrate the partnership, Hoka One One, Sanuk and Teva are hosting a happy hour and footwear sale from July 23 through 24 at the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow taking place in Denver, Colorado. 100% of the proceeds from the sale will go to Camber Outdoors.
